Caring for Texas Wildlife ... One Animal at a Time
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
NEW VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION
This 1 1/2 hour class is for people who would like to offer their time working at the Shelter or representing our Shelter in our various programs (e.g. Scout program, Speakers Bureau). You are also welcomed if you would just like to learn how our Shelter works and how you might offer your services.
This program runs between March and August each year - the time when we receive the most intake of injured and orphaned birds of all sizes. You are not only helping to rehabilitate the birds by feeding them their proper diet but you are also learning about the differences between bird diets, sounds, and living conditions.
You must attend the 1 1/2 hour Baby Bird Program class. Please see the schedule for dates and times
101 BASIC REHABILITATION
This class is animal-specific and is open to TWRC member interested in learning more about a particular species of animal and how we go about rehabilitating that animal.
You must have completed the New Volunteer Orientation and become a TWRC member before signing up for this class.
