Wildlife Camps
Is your camper ready for a one-of-a-kind experience this year?
Through games, activities, service projects, and interactive learning experiences our campers will connect with the wonderful wildlife native to Texas. Campers can get up close and personal with education animals and will even have the opportunity to care for non-protected baby birds.
Spring Wildlife Camp
Date: March 12-16
Ages: 8-14
Time:10am to 4pm (Early drop-off and late pick-up are available from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM for an additional charge)
Campers will be able to lead adventures in their own backyards after learning all about the amazing wildlife and habitats right here in Texas. Campers will be tasked with caring for some very special animals throughout the week.
Get wild this spring in our Spring Wildlife Camp. Through games, activities, service projects, and interactive learning experiences our campers will connect with the wonderful wildlife native to Texas. Campers can put their creativity and excitement to good use by lending a hand in supporting wildlife and the rehabilitators who care for the animals. Hands-on interactions with education animals like our curious Virginia Opossum, native reptiles, Eastern Grey Squirrels, and an Eastern Screech Owl make our camps a truly special experience. Campers will help the center prepare to care for the baby birds, baby mammals and other wildlife in need during the spring and summer seasons. Beverages and snacks are provided. Campers need to provide their own lunch.

Fur, Feathers & Scales: A Wildlife Adventure!
Date: June 11-15 | July 9-15 | August 6-10
Ages: 7-11
Time:10am to 4pm (Early drop-off and late pick-up are available from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM for an additional charge)
Oh, my! Campers will be able to lead adventures in their own backyards after learning all about the amazing wildlife and habitats right here in Texas. Campers will be tasked with caring for some very special animals throughout the week.
Parents are invited to see the campers host their very own wildlife adventure on the final day of camp (3:00 PM - 4:00 PM)!

Team Green: Taking Action for Texas Wildlife!
Date: June 25-29 | July 23-27
Ages: 12-15
Time:10am to 4pm (Early drop-off and late pick-up are available from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM for an additional charge)
Ready to do your part, but not sure where to start? This unique camp will give campers insight to steps they can take to support their local environments. Spend the week caring for animals in need, developing fun enrichment toys and other needed supplies for the animals in rehabilitation, and engaging in hands-on learning about the delicate balance of Texas wildlife and their environments.
- Day 1: Indentify – Campers will explore skills in identifying wildlife and their habitats.
- Day 2: Discover – Campers will take a deeper look at wildlife adaptations and habitat relationships.
- Day 3: Experience – Campers will meet rehabilitators, trainers and other wildlife professionals, then try their hand at stepping into those roles.
- Day 4: De-bunk – Campers will de-bunk common myths and misunderstandings about reptiles and other wildlife.
- Day 5: Protect & Share – Campers will learn tips for going green and sharing their love of wildlife.
